  • FINANCE and ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Milwaukee, WI – The National Association of Catholic Chaplains, a national religious non-profit association (office located near Mitchell Field), seeks an experienced individual for a full-time position which carries out activities related to finances and provides administrative support for the Association, including association leaders in their duties as representatives of the Association.

    Responsibilities include:

    1. Staff liaison to outside accounting vendors.
    2. Reconciliation of daily credit card/check payments to ensure accuracy and transferring of information to outside accounting vendor.
    3. Accurately coding and uploading all association bookkeeping & accounting documents (includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, bank statement, accounts receivable/prepaid accounts) for payment and/or reconciliation by outside accounting vendor.
    4. Awareness of schedule, process, and required financial information to achieve a successful external annual review or audit of associations financials.
    5. Provides administrative/communication support to executive leaders, including preparing meeting documentation, minutes, and hospitality as needed.
    6. Provides administrative support to select Association groups, including scheduling meetings, minutes.
    7. Manages and orders office supplies, printed materials, postage as necessary.
    8. Directs and coordinates on-site registration at National Conference.
    9. Maintains documents, reports, forms, and files related to position.

    Qualifications:

    1. Openness and ability to work for a Catholic mission association
    2. Nonprofit and/or professional association experience preferred
    3. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or 3-5 years equivalent experience
    4. Demonstrated bookkeeping and accounting skills
    5. Exhibits excellent computer skills in Quickbooks Pro and Microsoft suite of products
    6. Strong attention to detail is required and essential
    7. Ability to prioritize, coordinate and facilitate the completion of tasks with other staff/team members in a fast paced, small-office environment while at times under pressure
    8. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all association matters

    Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL – The chaplain provides emotional support, spiritual counsel and comfort in addressing the spiritual needs of patients as assigned. This individual provides a spiritual perspective when consulting with Mayo Clinic staff, patients and families regarding ethical, moral or personal issues. The chaplain is skilled in crisis and bereavement counseling and is an active participant in the interdisciplinary patient care team. This individual promotes a healing environment enhancing spiritual and emotional health for both patients and staff. Participates in teamwork with other members of the department, including providing unit and on-call coverage. The chaplain works cooperatively with other members of the Spiritual Care Department in planning and providing a total program of spiritual care. Serves on committees/task forces within the department, hospital and/or enterprise. Supports and participates in the educational programs of the department. In addition, the chaplain supports leadership through activities that includes development of staff, teaching, staff care, critical incident stress management, community involvement, and participation in research as appropriate. Must be available to work flexible hours which can include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends with on-call required. Assists in orienting new personnel to the department. Prepares and maintains records for assigned areas. Documents patient care encounters in the medical record. Records work tasks in direct patient care within EPIC to document productivity. This individual must demonstrate humility in regards of one’s cultures and working knowledge of other cultures. Awareness and knowledge of principles of human development across the lifespan. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient’s age-specific needs is required. Hospice chaplains and those with multiple work locations also travel to provide spiritual support in facilities or patients’ residences. May require being an Independent Living Donor Advocate (ILDA) upon completion of training. Other chaplain roles in the enterprise also include advance care planning. Masters Theological degree (e.g. Master of Divinity (MDiv/equivalency as established by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) from an accredited seminary of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) Minimum of four units Clinical Pastoral Education from an Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) approved center with the exception of faith group specific applicants for whom CPE is not required. In these cases, the applicant must complete four ACPE units within two years of hire and become Board Certified within four years of hire. An applicant of a current ACPE Resident with three completed units of Clinical Pastoral Education must complete the fourth CPE unit within 1 year of hire. Strong verbal and written communication skills required, including computer skills. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred. Two years working experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Preferred education: Master’s/Advanced Degree in related fields (e.g. Master’s in Public Health (MPH; advanced research degree and Masters in Philosophy/Ethics which is common in seminary/religious/ethical education training). Endorsement for service as a Chaplain by appropriate faith community. Board Certification or certification-eligible (BCC) within one or more of the following: Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Catholic Chaplains/United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (NACC/USCCB), the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), or the Association of Jewish Chaplains (AJC). Board Certified Chaplain preferred upon hire; otherwise, completion of certification within 3 years of hire with a national association (as listed above) which requires a minimum of four units of ACPE education.     Children’s Wisconsin – Wauwatosa, WI – Provides spiritual care to patients/families and staff as requested and acts as a liaison between patients, families and community clergy. Provides spiritual care to patients/families on all units especially oncology and critical care.

    Full-time Chaplain position, working primarily weekday / daytime hours supporting needs of pediatric patients and their families, as well as staff within Children’s Wisconsin.

    Requirements:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of theology and psychology of religion as normally acquired through completion of the prescribed course of study required for a Master’s degree in Divinity, Theology or Pastoral Studies (ATS accredited).
    • Four units of CPE
    • APC/ NACC/ NAJC certified or eligible for certification within two years.
    • Two to three years’ experience preferred.
