What is the Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition?
The Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition (CPMC) is a national network of organizations and individuals serving people affected by incarceration. CPMC’s goal is to recruit, train, support, and empower those called to prison ministry. Additionally, CPMC will serve as a central resource for formation and credentialing. Read more about CPMC.

How are NACC and CPMC connected?
NACC has been involved with CPMC from its inception in 2018. NACC Board Chair and NACC Executive Director serve on the CPMC Steering Committee. NACC became CPMC’s Fiscal Sponsor on May 1, 2020. As of January 1, 2023, CPMC has become an independent organization.
Can those in prison ministry join NACC?
Absolutely! Although many of our current NACC members work in health care facility ministry, we enjoy a growing membership who work in correctional facility ministry. We look forward to expanding national networking, continuing education and support services for individuals involved in prison ministry.
NACC offers a number of different membership levels. The best way to start out is to become a Ministry Volunteer member. You’ll enjoy education and professional development programs, nationwide networking opportunities, and access to NACC’s extensive archives.
If you are interested in developing a stronger diocesan prison ministry program, consider a Professional Ministry membership. Diocesan staff can participate in networking, educational and development opportunities to further your mission.
