We invite you to join the NACC family!
You don’t have to be a certified Catholic chaplain to join the NACC. We welcome individuals from all walks of life and all faith traditions to learn more about our mission and to work together to promote the Church’s healing ministry. Our members form a rich and diverse community, dedicated to enhancing chaplaincy and ministry across the country. We offer community, educational resources, a path to certification, and advocacy for all our members. Learn which membership is right for you!
Individual Memberships
Chaplaincy Ministry
Our flagship membership is for all Catholic chaplains who are either currently certified, are pursuing a certification with the NACC, or who simply want to take an active role in the organization.
Professional Ministry
This membership level is for individuals of ANY faith, who either serve or lead in some aspect of the Church’s pastoral care ministry field, or in the broader spiritual care profession.
Student
A Student Membership is ideal for any individual who is currently enrolled in an academic ministry education or CPE Program.
Volunteer
A Volunteer Membership is perfect for any individual who is serving in a volunteer capacity in a spiritual or pastoral care program.
Organizational Memberships
Education Collaborators
We welcome all Catholic educational institutions which promote chaplaincy ministry and offer graduate theological degrees or certificate programs that satisfy prerequisites for certification through the NACC to join as Education Collaborators. Member schools enjoy benefits for faculty and students in the program.
Healthcare Collaborators
The Healthcare Collaborator Membership is available to both Catholic and non-Catholic healthcare entities interested in promoting and strengthening spiritual care programs within their organizations and among healthcare providers through close work with and support from the NACC.
Diaconate Collaborator Membership
The Diocesan Collaborator (Diaconate Formation) Membership is available to Diocesan Directors of Diaconal Formation to strengthen pastoral ministry formation for your aspirants and candidates and promote and support chaplaincy in your diaconal community.
