Overview and Objectives:
As chaplains, we embrace critical reflection on our practice. We are often curious about what happens in spiritual care encounters and what our impact is. We are committed to discerning and providing the best care possible. The webinar invites us to explore and strengthen the connection between research and reflective practice. Research offers a valuable body of knowledge to critically engage as a conversation and consultation partner to support our practice.

As a result of this webinar, participants will:

• Understand what research is and its usefulness and limitations in spiritual care practice
• Recognize the role of evidence-based practice (EBP) in spiritual care
• Review how research and evidence-based practice are integral to the chaplaincy profession and culture of inquiry and reflection
• Explore ways to integrate reflective and evidence-based practice to support one’s chaplaincy practice.
