Fordham GRE offers graduate programs in the Jesuit, Catholic tradition in Christian Spirituality, Pastoral Care, Mental Health Counseling and Spiritual Integration, Pastoral Ministry, and Religious Education.  Advanced Certificate, Master’s, and Doctoral programs are offered online, in-person, and in hybrid formats.

At Fordham’s Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education, we educate in faith to prepare innovative and adaptive leaders for solidarity, service, and justice. Rooted in our Jesuit Catholic heritage, we cultivate academic competence, scholarly research, and professional skills in mental health counseling, spirituality, religious education, and pastoral studies.

Qualifying Programs for NACC Certification

The following programs satisfy the academic prerequisites for initial certification.

Board Certified Chaplain (BCC, BCC-VA) – Graduate Degrees

  • MS in Christian Spirituality (On campus or online)
  • MA in Pastoral Care (online)
  • MA in Mental Health Counseling and Spiritual Integration (on campus)
  • MA in Religious Education (online)
  • Doctor of Ministry (Hybrid: includes on campus and online work

Certified Associate Chaplain (CAC) – 18 Graduate Credit Certificate Programs

  • Above graduate degrees
  • Advanced Certificate in Trauma-Informed Care (online)
  • Advanced Certificate in Christian Spirituality (on campus or online)
