Our next webinar will answer the question, “Why Minister in Spanish?”. Led by Auxiliary Bishop Mario Avilés of the Diocese of Brownsville and Helder Hernandez, Poverty Education & Outreach Coordinator with the Department of Justice, Peace, and Human Development at the USCCB, we will discuss the importance of ministering and being ministered to in a person’s native language. We will also share about formation and education opportunities offered in Spanish at CPMC, presented by three of our Foundational Training facilitators, Aida Bone, Deacon Roman Ramos, and Hermes Silva. Human Trafficking: Focus on Juveniles (CPMC Town Hall event)
CPMC invites you to a conversation with Felicitas Brugo Onetti, Anti-Trafficking Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Migration and Refugee Services Department at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. She will lead a discussion about human trafficking issues that specifically impact juveniles and how ministers can support them, including a discussion of solidarity, trauma-responsive accompaniment, and confidentiality.
