Synod on Synodality

WE RECALL THAT THE PURPOSE OF THE SYNOD IS NOT TO PRODUCE DOCUMENTS, BUT TO PLANT DREAMS, DRAW FORTH PROPHECIES AND VISIONS, ALLOW HOPE TO FLOURISH, INSPIRE TRUST, BIND UP WOUNDS, WEAVE TOGETHER RELATIONSHIPS, AWAKEN A DAWN OF HOPE, LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER AND CREATE A BRIGHT RESOURCEFULNESS THAT WILL ENLIGHTEN MINDS, WARM HEARTS, GIVE STRENGTH TO OUR HANDS.
Pope Francis, October 2018

An Invitation from Erica Cohen Moore, NACC Executive Director

Worldwide synod is also opportunity for NACC to learn more

Synodal Listening Sessions

The NACC hosted four (4) Listening Sessions as part of the synodal process:

  • March 29 @ 10am PT / 11am MT / 12pm CT / 1pm ET
  • March 31 @ 4pm PT / 5pm MT / 6pm CT / 7pm ET
  • April 19 @ 11am PT / 12 pm MT / 1pm CT / 2pm ET
  • April 22 @ 11am PT / 12 pm MT / 1pm CT / 2pm ET

Sessions were free and open to all Catholic NACC members and non-members who were interested. NACC Executive Director Erica Cohen Moore provided a brief overview of the synodal process and participants broke into small groups for spiritual conversations on two (2) questions:

  1. What have been the joys and obstacles in your journeying together with the church?
  2. Reflecting on our conversation, how might the Holy Spirit be prompting you, and all of us as church, to improve the ways we are able to journey together?

Continuing Education Certificate ~ participation in a Listening Session is eligible for 1.5 CEH
