About this Survey Report
The NACC partnered with the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) in the preparation and funding of this survey with SullivanCotter. We are also deeply grateful to the Catholic Health Association(CHA) for financially supporting this survey and being invested in its results.
Unlike our APC/NACC self-reporting 2008 and 2011 chaplaincy salary surveys that were very helpful but were not always recognized as reliable by human resource departments, this survey was conducted by a nationally known firm directly with human resource departments, thus its results will carry more weight. Also, SullivanCotter noted that the level of participation in this survey was very strong for a custom survey of this kind.
Please note: this report can only be accessed through the NACC and APC member portals. As noted above, the human resource departments of the participating organizations received the report yesterday.
Please check in the back of the report to learn if your organization participated. If it did participate, please share a copy with your human resource department. The participating organizations also received an Excel grid that the human resource departments can utilize. If your human resource department did not participate, they can purchase this Excel grid directly from NACC by contacting us at (info@nacc.org) or from APC by contacting Carol Pape (carol@professionalchaplains.org).
NACC and APC will be selling the report to non NACC or APC members for $50 a copy.
About the results
The survey results provide the most up to date tool available on detailed employment information for chaplains. It is the hope that this information will empower you to propose additional chaplaincy positions in your department, strengthen current positions or assist you should you seek a new position.
