Tyler Curtis
Executive Director, Dismas Ministry
As a communications professional for nearly 30 years, Ms. Tyler Curtis has been affiliated with two Milwaukee-area advertising agencies, as well as several nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, Ms. Curtis has worked for several Catholic organizations as a fundraising communications specialist. Most recently, she served as a member of the leadership team of Franciscan Missions – a national, Catholic fundraising organization that promotes the missionary work of the Franciscans (Order of Friars Minor) throughout the world. In addition to her work with the Franciscans, Ms. Curtis has worked for the Sisters of the Divine Savior (Salvatorians), Marquette University, and Mount Mary University. In April 2008, she started a freelance writing and consulting business, which has served a variety of Milwaukee-area clients. The majority of her work as a consultant has been in serving nonprofit organizations, such as AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Aurora Health Care, and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. She has written feature articles, grants, philanthropy profiles, and developed public relations strategies for nonprofit organizations. Ms. Curtis is a 1988 graduate of Marquette University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.

Director, Dismas Ministry
As a Catholic lay person, I am founder (and 17 years plus) director of Dismas Ministry. I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, studied for the priesthood for 10 years with the Priests of the Sacred Heart, earned a masters in theology at Sacred Heart School of Theology-Hales Corners WI, and as a lay person have served in various missions: as religious ed director for St. Jospeh Indian School-South Dakota, the Franciscan Sisters’ St. Ann Center for all ages and abilities-Milwaukee, and for the past 17 plus years as founder and director of Dismas Ministry-a Catholic publications and mailing ministry serving the incarcerated, their chaplains and regional Catholic ministries. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and have a family of two sons, their wives, and one grandson.
