Visio Divina
Presented by Ms. Beth McPherson

Overview and Objectives

Visio Divina, divine seeing, is a form of prayer using visual elements to help set your mind on prayer. It allows God to speak into your heart through the image. The webinar session will allow NACC members and those serving in spiritual care to gather and experience Visio Divina, to increase their understanding of Visio Divina and the potential ways the experience can be utilized in ministry and personally.

As a result of this webinar, participants will:

  1. Increase their understanding and experience of Visio Divina so that it can be used personally and in ministry
  2. Experience Visio Divina
  3. Learn about different ways to engage Visio Divina.

Presenter Information

Beth McPherson has served for over thirty years in Catholic healthcare in three systems, Holy Cross, Providence and St. Joseph Health.  She has broad executive experience in mission integration, leadership development and formation, strategic planning and finance.   Additionally, Beth has nearly 20 years of governance experience.  Her passion is developing people and cultures to carry forward Gospel values.  She enjoys being a citizen of the world through permanent residency status in Mexico, travel, friends and food, as well as support for international nonprofits. She serves on the Board for Concern America, an NGO that turns need into self-sufficiency. Beth also serves on her parish and National Association of Catholic Chaplains finance committees and the coordinating council for the Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Los Angeles Alumni Club.

Beth holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, and an MBA from Boston University.  She completed Leadership for Collective Intelligence sponsored by Dialogos and was a certified Integral Coach through New Ventures West and Facilitative Leadership trainer.
