This session will include an overview of key healthcare issues presented from both a State and National level. Population demographics and related healthcare needs, funding challenges, the future of “Obamacare” and leadership/change management needs will all be included in the didactic portion of the presentation. The session will provide a high-level look at healthcare needs, changes and the journey toward producing increased value and long-term sustainability in the United States.
A group interactive exercise will also be included in the workshop where the potential impacts of these changes in healthcare delivery to our various professions will be explored.
As a result of this workshop, participants will:
- Learn about the most significant healthcare issues, both locally and nationally, facing healthcare delivery systems currently and over the coming 5-plus years.
- Be able to identify how future healthcare changes will apply to their chosen professions.
