As health care continues to change, can the competencies developed in 2009 serve today’s Spiritual Care Leadership? In 2016, a group of Spiritual Care Leaders across the spectrum of health care was convened within NACC to study this question. The outcomes yielded a revised list of key competencies which the team believed would be necessary for selecting and developing directors now and into the future.
As a result of this workshop, participants will leave with:
- An overview of the pilot work to identify key competencies and the outcomes.
- An understanding of core competencies necessary for the selection and development of Spiritual Care Leadership.
- A plan of professional development, along with resources, to achieve the plans.
Educational Materials (recommended books, articles, or websites for participants to review prior to the workshop)
