Qualifying Programs for NACC Certification

The following programs satisfy the academic prerequisites for initial certification.

Board Certified Chaplain (BCC, BCC-VA)

• M.M.T.: Master of Arts in Ministry and Theology
  • General Pastoral Ministry Track
  • Chaplaincy Education Track (new)
• M.A.: Master of Arts in Theology
• M.T.S.: Master of Theological Studies
  • Theological Education Track
  • Research/Project Track
• Ph.D.: Doctor of Philosophy in Theology

Certified Associate Chaplain (CAC)

• Certificate in Pastoral Ministry – With Supervised Field Education that can be satisfied with two units of CPE. Learn how the NACC and Villanova have partnered to form students for chaplaincy.
• Certificate in Theological Studies – 15 credits may be applied to graduate credit equivalency
• Certificate in Interdisciplinary Theological Inquiry – Some credits may be applied to graduate credit equivalency
