Welcome to new Board Members
The NACC is pleased to welcome to the NACC Board of Directors our two newly elected members, who will begin their service on January 1, 2025.
Allison DeLaney was Board certified through the NACC in 2006 and has enjoyed serving the NACC as a BCC mentor, certification interviewer, workshop and webinar presenter, Research Advisory Council member, representative to the Joint Research Council, and plenary chair for the national conference. During her career as a chaplain, Allison has worked in a variety of settings, including as a hospice chaplain and bereavement coordinator, a women’s health and pediatrics chaplain in the acute hospital setting, and now as a population telehealth chaplain. Allison hopes to support the growth of the NACC so that Chaplaincy can be a viable and sustainable career path for many more years to come.
Fr. John Ekeocha has served as a Roman Catholic priest for more than 30 years and as a priest chaplain for the past 14 years. He has been a Board Certified Chaplain with the NACC since 2012, contributing his experience in teamwork coordination to the Nominations Committee and the Education and Research Committee; being a mentor and Interviewer for Board certification; and leading the African-American networking group. Fr. John is blessed with great analytical, interpersonal, interprofessional, and communication skills with a strong capacity and experience to relate, network, mobilize, and support colleagues effectively toward achieving shared and common goals, tasks, and projects. He is ready to share his gifts with the Board of Directors to enhance the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the NACC.
