The HealthCare Chaplaincy of New York is sponsoring and underwriting an e-newsletter for chaplains and other spiritual care providers. Their articles are grouped into four areas: professional practice, advocacy, education and research, and spiritual development. PlainViews will also feature a section called TalkBack – envisioned as an opportunity for chaplains to make their views known and to be able to “talk” to each other about best practices in the profession and the common bonds that are shared. The HealthCare Chaplaincy is an organization in New York City that trains and hires chaplains to serve in various health care settings and has established an education and research center working on ways to quantify what chaplains do and how they do it.
