Chronic Illness

Rest Ministries is a Christian organization for people who live with chronic illness or pain. It provides various resources, including a quarterly magazine, HopeKeepers groups across the U.S. and an extensive web site with chat guests, free daily devotionals, multiple articles and small groups. We are also a new affiliate of Joni and Friends ministry, the national ministry of Joni Eareckson Tada.

Rest Ministries is a place where you will find understanding and compassion. It was founded by Lisa Copen in '97, who lives with rheumatoid arthritis & fibromyalgia. It has thousands who participate -- with various illnesses and nearly 100% of our volunteers live with a chronic illness.

We have over 300 pages of support "groups," resources, links and more--even HopeKeepers Groups throughout the U.S. and beyond.

ONE CARING PLACE, the publications division of Abbey Press, provides care resources which offer help and hope to the hurting. Our resources, now touching nearly ten million hearts per year, communicate that God cares and is near in good times and in bad. ONE CARING PLACE resources give special emphasis to grief, illness, aging, hospice, and distress issues.

With the creation of a series of small booklets known as "CareNotes," ONE CARING PLACE began offering its series of "people-helping booklets" worldwide. Since that date, more than 400 individual publications have been produced, and sales worldwide now exceed 100 million copies. Additionally, the gift-book publications of ONE CARING PLACE--book series such as Elf-help Books and Elf-help Books for Kids-- are featured in thousands of gift shops and bookstores nationwide. They've also been translated into more than a dozen languages worldwide.

Serving people's deepest needs for help and hope, ONE CARING PLACE continues to expand its offerings of support literature and its outreach to caring institutions and organizations.
