Board Certified Chaplain and CPE Supervisor Members
Member ($265 annual)
A Catholic chaplain or other minister who is involved in spiritual care ministry and shares in the Church's healing mission without the benefit of NACC certification. This membership level is a prerequisite for beginning the certification process.

Board Certified Chaplain ($265 annual)
A Catholic chaplain who has the benefit of professional certification granted by the NACC Certification Commission on behalf of the USCCB/CCA. Renewal of certification is required every five years.

Certified CPE Supervisory Candidate ($265 annual)
A Catholic Board Certified Chaplain who has achieved certification as a CPE Supervisory Candidate from the NACC Certification Commission on behalf of the USCCB/CCA, and demonstrates the competencies required to learn and to function as a pastoral educator under the supervision of a CPE Supervisor. A CPE Supervisory Candidate remains at this level for only two years. This certification level is a prerequisite for becoming an Associate CPE Supervisor.

Certified CPE Associate Supervisor ($340 annual)
A Catholic Board Certified CPE Supervisory Candidate who has achieved certification as a CPE Associate Supervisor from the NACC Certification Commission on behalf of the USCCB/CCA and is interested in becoming a CPE Supervisor. A Certified CPE Associate Supervisor remains at this level for only two years. This certification level is a prerequisite to becoming a CPE Supervisor.
Certified CPE Supervisor ($340 annual)
A Catholic Board Certified CPE Associate Supervisor who has the benefit of certification as a CPE Supervisor from the NACC Certification Commission on behalf of the USCCB/CCA. CPE Supervisors teach, supervise, and prepare others for certification in spiritual care. Renewal of certification is required every seven years.
Missionary ($55 annual)*
A Board Certified Chaplain or CPE Supervisor currently engaged in full-time ministry in developing areas of the U.S./other countries. While a member in this category, one must follow one’s original renewal of certification schedule.

Retired (New Category) ($50 annual)*
A Member, Board Certified Chaplain, or CPE Supervisor member who has maintained membership in NACC for at least five or more consecutive years and is now retired (no longer earning a salary), and desires to remain active in NACC and to retain member privileges and responsibilities. If one is certified and desires to remain certified, s/he will need to continue his/her process for renewal of certification (five years for Board Certified Chaplains and seven years for CPE Supervisors) to remain certified.

Inactive Board Certified Chaplain**
A Board Certified Chaplain may take a temporary leave of absence due to hardship or personal needs (illness, loss of position, family crises, etc.) and request inactive status. During this period of time, one does not function as a chaplain, even part time. The Board Certified Chaplain retains his/her certified status as long he/she proceeds through the regular renewal of certification cycle. One pays no dues during this time. However, one may opt to pay reduced annual dues ($105) to receive member communication and educational offerings. This status is for a one (1) year term, renewable for up to five (5) years upon approval by the NACC National Office.
Inactive CPE Supervisor ($165 annual)**
A CPE Supervisor may take a temporary leave of absence due to hardship or personal needs (illness, loss of position, family crises, etc.) and request inactive status from the ministry of supervision. During this period of time, one does not function as a CPE supervisor, even part time. The CPE supervisor maintains supervisory certification, as long as he/she follows his/her original renewal of certification schedule. This status is for a one (1) year term, renewable up to seven (7) years upon approval by the NACC National Office.
Emeritus ($50 annual)
Those members who are already in this category will remain so. This category will no longer be available to members. Emeritus refers to an individual who had maintained membership in the NACC for five or more consecutive years and who is now retired. If the member was certified, certification was retained without needing to renew certification every five years. The Emeritus member retains voting privileges and subscription to Vision.

Responsibilities
Associate ($125 annual)
A professional who shares an interest in the Church’s healing mission and desires to further the ideals and work of the NACC. This category of membership is open to individuals of any denomination, and, for example, association, healthcare, academic, pastoral ministry leaders, and those involved in working with or training CPE supervisors and chaplains.

Ministry Volunteer ($60 annual)
An individual serving as a volunteer in a spiritual care program under the supervision of a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC). A letter of recommendation from the BCC is required with the membership application.

Student ($45 annual)
A student in an academic, ministry formation, or CPE program discerning chaplaincy as a career or as a valuable preparation for other ministries in the Church. Before applying for certification and receiving a certification application, a student must first become a Member.

Vision Subscription ($50 annual)
Vision, a publication of the NACC, is issued 6 times a year. A subscription is included with all paid memberships. Libraries and individuals who are not directly involved in chaplaincy subscribe to Vision. With a Vision subscription one will also receive the biweekly NACC Now electronic newsletter by providing one’s email address.
New Vision Subscribers ($40 for first year)
First time subscribers to the NACC publication Vision are offered a reduced rate for the first year subscription. With a Vision subscription one will also receive the biweekly NACC Now electronic newsletter by providing one’s email address.
