About our 2017 National Conference
What are the dates of the conference?
- Friday, April 28 – Monday, May 1, 2017
(conference begins at 2:00 pm on Friday and ends at 12:00 pm on Monday)
- Pre-Conference Day of Reflection: Thursday, April 27, 2017 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (cost is $80 – lunch and transportation included)
- Pre-Conference Workshops: Friday, April 28, 2017 – 7:30 am – 11:30 am (cost is $75 each)
What are the start and end times of the conference?
The conference begins at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 28, 2017 and concludes at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 1, 2017.
There is a pre-conference day of reflection for an additional cost.

How can I make hotel reservations?
You can make hotel reservations by telephone or online.

What are the hotel room rates?
Room rates are $139 (plus taxes, which are currently 14.75%) for single/double. You need to reserve your room by Monday, March 27, 2017 in order to be eligible for this rate.

Can non-NACC members attend and what is their registration fee?
Non-members can and are encouraged to attend. The NACC offers a Non-member registration rate. For a list of rates please go to the registration page.
What is the cost of registration?
There are many different registration rates available including Early Bird, Student, and Daily Registration. We have a NACC Member rate and a Non-member rate. If you are a NACC member you will register at the NACC Member rates. If you are NOT a member of NACC, you will register at the Non-member rate.

Are there specific deadlines for the different registration rates?
The Early Bird Registration deadline is: Friday, February 24, 2017. Full registrations apply to those postmarked after: Friday, February 24, 2017.
Friday, March 17, 2017 is the last date to receive registrations (with payments) by mail, fax, or online. All subsequent registrations will be taken onsite at the conference utilizing the rates for onsite registration which typically are higher. If registration is received at the national office after March 17, 2017 it will be processed utilizing the onsite registration rates and the registrant will be invoiced for the difference.
What meals are included with registration?
Early Bird Registration (prior to Friday, February 24, 2017), Full Registration, Student Registration, and Daily Registration include the following: Friday Reception; Saturday Continental Breakfast, Banquet; Sunday Continental Breakfast, Lunch; Monday Continental Breakfast.
What payment methods do you offer for conference registration?
We accept check, money order, or credit cards (all in US Funds). Please note the NACC accepts Visa and Mastercard.
How do I register for the conference?
The NACC conference has online registration. Through the online registration system, you can select to register and pay with a credit card (MasterCard or Visa) OR you can register online and then send us a check/money order in the mail. The NACC also accepts paper registration forms with a check/money order sent in the mail.

When using the online registration portal NACC members will need to log in to receive the member rate. Your username for logging in is your NACC membership number. If you have forgotten your password, you can use the “forgot my password” feature to have a new one sent to you. If you experience any difficulties logging in, please contact the NACC office at firstname.lastname@example.org to request assistance.
Do I have to register for the conference before I reserve my hotel room?
No, you can reserve your hotel room and register later.
Do you need volunteers?
We will need many volunteers to ensure a successful conference. You can complete the volunteer form online when you register OR complete the volunteer form in your registration packet and return it with your registration form by mail. Forms are on this page.
What is the NACC’s conference registration cancellation policy?
Friday, March 17, 2017 is the last date for receipt of registration cancellations that are eligible to receive a refund of registration and meal fees (minus a $50 processing fee). After this date, no registration or meal fees will be refunded. Note that refunds cannot be made for inclement weather affecting travel. We have given our count for meals already and paid for services which cannot be refunded at this point to neither the NACC nor the person cancelling. See the list of important dates.
Are continuing education hours available for the conference?
All plenary sessions, pre-conference workshops, and 75-minute workshops are eligible for NACC Continuing Education Hours. The NACC has approved the 2017 conference for a total of 15.25 continuing education hours (this does not include attendance at any optional events). Optional events at the 2017 conference include the day of reflection (6 hours), pre-conference workshops (4 hours), NACC special workshops (1.25 hours), PCAC Update (1 hour), and the American Red Cross Disaster Spiritual Care orientation (5 hours). Participants will receive a certificate detailing this information at the conference.
How many attendees do you expect?
Our typical national conference draws approximately 400 attendees.
