Certification Renewal is required every five years for chaplains and every seven years for CPE Supervisors.

Completed Renewal of Certification applications must be sent to the National Office and may be submitted any time during the required renewal year. The final deadline for Renewal of Certification materials is December 31 of each year.

Renewal of Certification fees

The 2010 Renewal of Certification fee is $160 (the fee for 2009 renewals is $150).

The Board of Directors of the National Association has approved the establishment of a Renewal of Certification Extension Processing Fee. The fee will be calculated annually at 20% of the Renewal of Certification Fee. This is a policy that will support the level of work generated by requests for extensions at the national office. As the 2010 Renewal of Certification Fee is $160, the Extension Processing Fee that must accompany requests for a one-year extension for Renewal of Certification in 2010 is $32. This fee structure is effective immediately.
