I did not receive my first choice for the interview site and date. Why?

The Commission schedules the interview sites and dates on a two-year cycle (refer to the certification calendar) keeping in mind the need to reduce the distance for travel for both candidates and interviewers. However, because the number of candidates for each site is limited, and because we assign sites on a first-come, first-served basis, there is a chance that you may not receive your first choice of a site. Because of the complex logistics involved in matching the date, site, interviewers, and candidates, there is a possibility of not receiving one’s first choice.
