NACC Committees: Ethics Commission
Purpose
To review formal complaints involving alleged violations of the NACC Code of Ethics in accordance with NACC Standards and Procedures.
Major Responsibilities
- Receives formal complaints involving alleged violations of the NACC Code of Ethics by any member or group of members of the NACC.
- Reviews all grievances filed.
- Consults with NACC legal advisor on process as necessary.
- Gathers information pertaining to grievance.
- Renders a decision of the grievance.
- Communicates decision in writing to respondent and complainant, and Board of Directors.
- Provides an annual report to the Board of Directors on the activities of the Ethics Commission.
Criteria
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding on the NACC Code of Ethics.
- 3-5 years experience with ethics committees within places of employment or elsewhere.
- Board Certified Chaplain or Supervisor
- Minimum of 3 years involvement in NACC Commissions, committees, advisory panels, task forces, etc.
